Women’s Day 2021
Butembe
Each One Teach One
Our Founder Barbara Itungu, Kyagulanyi joined the Maria Nnatabi Ledochwaska foundation to celebrate Women’s day in Butembe, Busoga sub-region. In attendance were students from MM college Wairaka, Busende seed, Hope community and Wairaka Modern secondary school. District and local council leaders participated as well.
The main topics of discussion during this engagement were Culture, spirituality, leadership and career, feminism, inspiration, and mentorship. To share her village girl story, our founder left student leaders with copies of her book “Golden memories of a village belle”.
H.E The Guild President of Makerere University Nambasa Shamim came through to share her experience and to empower the girls in the room. We are proud of the sprouting young leaders like Maria Nnatabi who have taken on the challenge of uplifting and empowering our future women of valor.

We believe that menstrual health, primary healthcare & proper hygiene is a basic right. We can't wait for government to do ALL the work when we can help. The little we can do, we must do.
